The Traslacion, or the foot procession which bring the venerated image to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral from the Our Lady of Penafrancia Shrine, formally marks the beginning of festive celebrations honoring the OUr Lady of Penafrancia, patroness of the Bicol Region. This year also holds special signficance as devotees mark the 100th year anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of the Nuestra Senora de Penafrancia, lovingly called ‘Ina’ by millions of her devotees throughout the world.
