Danlugan ni Ina

The monument marks the spot beside the Naga River where, following a foot procession, the image of Ina is handed over to the pagoda to continue the voyage via a fluvial procession.

Danlugan ni Ina (Also known as Reina del Bicol monument) marks a wharf or dock where the images of the Our Lady of Penafrancia and the Divino Rostro are transferred to that pagoda or vessel that will carry her during the fluvial procession. It is situated near Tabuco Bridge and the Plaza de Nueva Caceres.

Significance

Danlugan ni Ina is the designated landing site for the Pagoda, a floating platform carrying the image of Our Lady of Peñafrancia during the Fluvial Procession, a key event in the annual Peñafrancia Festival. This procession is one of the largest Marian pilgrimages in Asia, drawing millions of devotees.
